The research team from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology conducted a special investigation at Sugar Energy Technology, and provided guidance on tackling key challenges in the "Taking on the challenge" project

On August 26, Zhang Xuwu, Director of the Petrochemical and Chemical Division of the Raw Materials Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and his colleague Zhang Lidian visited Zhejiang Sugar Energy Technology Co., Ltd. Ye Binghai, First-Level Investigator of the Materials Work Division of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology, and Wang Jie of the Green Petrochemical Division of the Ningbo Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology accompanied them.



The delegation listened to a report from the company's leadership on the company's development overview, core technology R&D, and industrialization progress. They also exchanged views on the progress of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's "Taking on the Challenge" project, focusing on key challenges, technical difficulties, supply chain collaboration, and future industrialization plans.



At the subsequent meeting, the delegation affirmed Sugar Energy Technology's achievements in its deep cultivation of bio-based new materials and its efforts in tackling the "Taking on the Challenge" task. Zhang Xuwu pointed out that bio-based materials are an important direction for the transformation of the petrochemical industry, and the "Taking on the Challenge" project bears the important mission of breaking through key technologies and filling gaps in the supply chain. He expressed his hope that the company would focus on its key research goals, strengthen technological innovation, accelerate the transformation of research results, play a leading role, and contribute to the coordinated development of the industrial chain, thereby making greater contributions to the green and high-quality development of the industry. He also wished Sugar Energy Technology's Daishan 10,000-ton HMF production base a complete success in its completion and commissioning on August 28th.
