Recently,the founder and CEO of French Michelin engineered Polymers--Quentin Faucret visited Zhejiang Sugar Energy Co.,ltd.The Chairman Dr.Zhang jian and CEO Jin Haitao greeted them.They discuss the development of bio-based new materials industry.

Jin Haitao introduced the basic situation of Sugar Energy,Product structure and development route,especially the market posittioning of Sugar Energy insisting on 5-hydroxymethylfurfural(HMF) as the main product and furan discarboxylic acid(FDCA) and other downstream derivatives as auxiliary products.Sugar Energy will continue to focus on the main line of HMF scale production,towards the goal of variety diversification and application of high value,to provide customers with stable,reliable,high-quanlity and inexpensive products.

Zhang jian made a comprehensive introduction to the operation ideas and new product development system of bio-based furan new materials.Sugar Energy pays perticular attention to the intellctual property system and industry ecological construction,maintains an open attitude in process development,patent pooling,product customization and other aspects.Sugar Energy is willing to cooperate with domestic and foreign leading enterprises ,including Michelin.

Founder and CEO of Michelin Engineered Polymers -Quentin introduced the practical application of HMF and other products of their comany,and put forword specific requirements for the application side and the manufacturing side.Michelin has already used HMF for the production of industrial products and has received good market feedback.The two sides will cooperate in the performance improvement and segmentation of bio-based products.Jin Haitao accompanied the quests to the Daishan trial base to visit the HMF thousand tons production line that is in continuous operation.
